During the 2022-2023 LSHA Board year, the LSHA Board of Directors unanimously voted to decrease barriers to increase engagement in LSHA activities for students in Communication Sciences & Disorders and Audiologic Sciences.  These changes went into effect for the 2023-2024 LSHA Board year and include the following:

• *FREE* Student Membership to LSHA for Louisiana graduate and undergraduate students in speech pathology and audiology
• *FREE* Annual Convention registration for Louisiana graduate and undergraduate students in speech pathology and audiology (business luncheon attendance available at a small additional charge)
• *NEW* Student Track at the Annual Convention
• Increased opportunities for student engagement throughout the year 
• 50% discount off annual dues for the Clinical Fellowship Year(s)

What are the benefits of joining LSHA as a student?

• Introduction to local/state advocacy for the fields of speech pathology and audiology
• Ability to impact legislation made at the state level which impacts SLPs, SLP-As, and AUDs
