LSHA Leadership Scholarship
Purpose:
Criteria:
-
Received CCC from ASHA within the last
5-10 years
-
Be a current LSHA and ASHA member
-
Have a record of participation in local,
state and/or national professional organizations
-
History of advocacy efforts for
individuals with communication disorders
Activities:
-
Attend at least one leadership meeting,
including but not limited to Council of State Association Presidents,
Council of Academic Programs in Communication Sciences and Disorders, ASHA
Annual Convention, other ASHA national meetings or other organizations
approved by the Executive Board of LSHA
-
Develop a mentorship plan with at least 1
past president of LSHA that includes specific goals/objectives for the year.

Be an active member of a LSHA committee(s)
-
Submit a report of activities to LSHA
Board at the Business Meeting held during the annual convention
-
Provide an article for the LSHA Newsletter
including the personal goals/objectives for the year and the experiences and
activities that occurred while receiving the scholarship
