ASHA LEGISLATIVE COUNCILORS

FOR LOUISIANA

Marty Audiffred-- Aud300@bellsouth.net

Theresa Rodgers--rodgerst@apsb.org

Mary Pannbacker-- mpannb@lsuhsc.edu

The Legislative Council (LC) Membership Forum is Saturday, November 17, 2007, in the Grand Ball Room of the Westin Boston Waterfront Hotel.   This is an opportunity for ASHA members to present issues/concerns to the LC.

As you know, in March 2007 the LC approved a resolution (LC 1-2007) to restructure ASHA's governance.  As a result, the LC will disband December 31, 2007 and two advisory councils (Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology) will begin.  There have been several questions about the new governance structure; please feel free to contact us about this or other matters of interest.

In addition, Martin Audiffred has been appointed chair of ASHA's Political Action Committee for 2008.

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you in Boston.
